This bike route, with an elevation gain of 409 metres, will test your fitness! But at the same time, your effort will be rewarded with a number of interesting sights and breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
Dobřichovice’s route starts at the railway station and leads towards Všenory. Here you will enjoy the first major elevation. After about one kilometre, the 8129 cycle route begins, leading along Nad Rozcestím Street. Finally, we will say goodbye to it before the village of Černolice, where there is a turn-off to the Černolice Rocks natural monument. This monumental rock massif hides climbing routes and fragments of prehistoric fossils.
The 8129 cycle route connects to the famous Mníšek Ridge at the municipal reservoir. After about 5 kilometres from Černolice, you can make a detour to the Baroque Skalka complex. We definitely recommend this short stay because you will see the Baroque monastery, the hermitage, and the Stations of the Cross. You can also catch some nice snapshots with a view of the Mníšek castle.
From the next crossroads Na Soudném the route leads to Svinaře. Here, you can join the cycle route back to Dobřichovice, where the whole circuit closes.
If you still have some time left, take a look around Dobřichovice. Among the local attractions, the Renaissance chateaux is worth seeing. Although it is closed to the public, you can at least walk around the manor garden. The castle belonged to the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, whose symbol is still part of the town emblem of Dobřichovice.
Dobřichovice can be reached in a few minutes by car from Restovna; it is only 6 kilometres away.
Or you can hop on your bike and join the cycle path near Mokropsy. You are in Dobřichovice in less than half an hour of easy biking.
